WoW Fishing Leveling Guide
Fishing is a great profession in World of Warcraft. You are never lacking food. Good gold from the fish you sell (or cook and sell). Lots of interesting items and mounts that you can only obtain through fishing. Hunters can use it to feed their pets. And of course it provides a nice way to relax and meet other players.
But to get the most from it you definitely want to reach the high levels in fishing pretty quickly. You can reach a maximum of 450 levels in fishing. This guide gives you the best route to 450, in under 15 hours:
Get to character level 10 first. Find a hardware store or fishing shop and buy a fishing pole. Now, for the fastest possible route to 450, you need to fish in Northrend. If your character is Horde you want to head to Vengeance Landing and if you are Alliance you want to head to Valgarde.

Find the fishing trainer – for Alliance it’s Byron Welwick who you’ll find next to the Flight Master by the water carrying an umbrella. If you are Horde go and look for a lady named Angelina Soren, who is at the docks also carrying an umbrella. Ask them to teach you Apprentise Fishing.
Now it’s time to begin your Fishing speed leveling! Basically, keep on fishing right near your trainer, so you don’t have far to go. It’s fine to catch anything, it is all good for leveling, even if you catch junk, not fish. When you get to level 50, train Journeyman Fishing, at level 125 train Expert fishing. At 200 get Artisan, at 275 Master and Grand Master Fishing will be yours as soon as you reach level 350!

That’s how simple it is – the most rapid path in the game to Grand Master Fishing. Just carry on until you hit level 450. You will be able to catch valuable fish to sell with relative ease now, and sell them at auction for a very nice income. It is definitely worth learning cooking too to go with your fishing skills.
